The next step to do is to configure Altium to use these files when you want to create a new Project/schematic/PCB.Ĭlick on top left DXP menu then Prefences/New Documents Defaults, and set the path to the folder where you have your templates.ĭo not forget to scroll all the way to the bottom to set the Free Documents defaults, otherwise you will only have your template used when you create a new document within the project. After which all you need to do is save it in a template folder of your choice. The easiest way to do so is to start from a known project that you know is good, and you know it contains all the settings you need, and clear all the stuff you don't need out of it. This file will contain all of your default setting, parameters, and so on. The easiest method to achieve what you are after, is to create a blank template file.
